LENNY LAWRENCE

Lenny is a widely regarded composer, guitar player and songwriter with rare ability to compose in a variety of styles, who found his performing and songwriting outlet in Blues music.  Born in 1977 in Rome, Lenny lived on the well known Frith Street in Soho for eight years.  He now has own studio in North London, having recently started work on his own musical, 'Spaghetti West End'.

His original Jazz compositions have been recorded and performed by an impressive selection of established artists, including Ray Gelato and Tammy Weis, at some of the world's best venues, including the Blue Note, Ronnie Scott's, The 100 Club, Auditorium Parco della Musica of Rome and more.

His solo debut Ep "Blues Juice" ranked n.14 in the IBBA (Independent Blues Broadcasters) Chart and was voted "Album of the Month" in August 2014.

Paralympic Swimming Federation’s (FINP) Olympic anthem.

His superlative and versatile talent has not only enabled him to compose

film scores for feature documentaries broadcast by Channel 5, Sky, the

History Channel, Rai Educational, and Televisione Svizzera Italiana but

also driven him to create the Blues/Cajun based score for ‘Storm that

Drowned a City’ (PBS), a documentary on Hurricane Katrina, co-written

with composer Guy Dagul ('The Last of the Mohicans' and 'In The Name of the Father').  This particular project was described by the Hollywood Reporter as 'the most definitive presentation to date'.

Recent standout performances include the Hippodrome Casino, the London BluesFest, representing the UK in the Nanning International Folk Song Arts Festival in China and the Chinese New Year concert in Trafalgar Square.

On July 6th 2014, he also shared the stage with Suggs, Adam Ant, Ray Gelato and Tim Arnold to celebrate the 65th anniversary of London's iconic cafe Bar Italia.
